Halloween packaging: cellophane for treats, favors, and decor
Halloween runs on a few materials that do a lot of jobs. Printed Halloween sheets and rolls, transparent cellophane in orange, black, purple, and green, clear bags for candy and favors, and wrappers for homemade caramels cover most of what a family, a teacher, a bakery, or a gift shop needs in October.
This page groups everything by product and by what you’re making: treats for trick-or-treaters, goodie bags for a class party, a bake sale table, a gift basket, or a front window that glows orange at night.

Halloween design sheets
Pre-cut sheets are the fastest way to wrap treats of different shapes. The Halloween sheets in packs of 100 come in sizes from 12″ x 20″ to 30″ x 40″, for bundles, trays, and baskets. The Halloween small sheets in packs of 1,000 come in 7½” x 7½”, 9″ x 9″, 10″ x 12″, and 12″ x 12″, for single treats and favors in quantity.
The Halloween cellophane sheets collection also includes Orange Dots in both pack sizes, a quieter look that works from Halloween through the fall.
Halloween design rolls
When your items vary in size, or you’re wrapping baskets and large trays, a roll lets you cut the exact length you need. The Halloween cellophane rolls come in four prints: the Halloween print with pumpkins, ghosts, and bats, Black Dots, Orange Dots, and Black Brush Strokes. Widths are 20″, 30″, and 40″, in 100-foot rolls, with 500-foot and 1,000-foot rolls in the 40″ width.
Transparent colors: orange, black, purple, and green
Transparent cellophane tints whatever sits behind it: a stack of cookies, a glass jar, a window pane. That makes it the main material for Halloween decor as well as for treats. Transparent color sheets come in packs of 100 and 1,000 in orange, black, purple, green, amber, and six other colors. For longer pieces, there are rolls in orange, black, purple, and green.
Black accents: organza lace and metallized film
For a darker, dressier Halloween, black organza cello lace comes in sheets and in a roll. There are also black metallized sheets and two-sided metallized rolls in black and gold and black, which suit gift baskets, shop displays, and party backdrops.
Bags for treats and favors
Bags are the quickest option when you’re packing a lot of the same thing. Clear candy bags have a side gusset and come in three sizes. Self-sealing bags close without a tie and run from 2″ x 3″ to 6½” x 9½”. Black big dots deluxe bags add color on their own, cardboard reinforced bottom bags keep cookie stacks flat, and basket bags fit gift baskets up to 24″ x 30″.
Caramel wrappers and tissue paper
Homemade caramels and taffy look right for the season in opaque caramel wrappers in orange, black, purple, and green, or in dotted wrappers in black, purple, and green. White tissue paper is the base for ghost wraps and basket filler.
How do you choose Halloween packaging?
- Many identical items: go with bags. Treats of different shapes: sheets. Baskets, trays, or custom lengths: rolls. Windows, lanterns, and anything with light behind it: transparent colors.
- Printed or plain: a Halloween print does the decorating for you. Clear lets bright candy show, and a colored sheet tints the whole package.
- Size: measure from where you’ll gather the wrap, around the item, and back up, then add a few inches for the tie. Wrap one test piece before ordering a full pack. Our cellophane and bag size guide has more examples.
Plan your Halloween order
Start from the date: the class party, the trunk-or-treat, the bake sale, or the day your shop puts Halloween items online. Count what you’ll wrap by type, test one of each, and add some extra for mistakes. Check stock on each product page and leave time for shipping; our shipping page explains the options. For large wholesale orders or custom printing, contact us with quantities and your date.

Trick-or-treat, trunk-or-treat, and class treats
A small sheet gathered around a handful of candy and tied at the top is faster to hand out than loose candy, and kids can see what they got. For cookies, brownies, popcorn balls, and caramel apples, a sheet takes the shape of the treat. For step-by-step ideas, a sizing table, and closures that hold, see our guide to Halloween treat bags and wraps with cellophane sheets.
Goodie bags and party favors
For a class party or a birthday that lands in October, fill a clear candy bag, close it with curling ribbon, and add a tag with each child’s name. To make a plain bag look like Halloween, slide a small orange or black transparent sheet inside as a liner, or wrap the favor in a Halloween print sheet first and drop it into a clear bag. Self-sealing bags work well for non-food favors like stickers, pencils, and small toys, which is also an easy way to include kids who can’t have candy.
Home decor and crafts
Colored cellophane is one of the cheapest ways to decorate for Halloween, and most of the ideas take an afternoon.
- Stained glass windows. Cut bats, cats, or a jack-o’-lantern face out of black paper, back the openings with orange, purple, or green transparent cellophane, and tape the panel to the inside of a window. Daylight and room light shine through the color.
- Jack-o’-lantern lanterns. Wrap a clean glass jar or a paper lantern in orange transparent cellophane, add a black paper face, and light it with a battery-operated LED tea light. Use LED lights only, never candles, and keep cellophane away from open flames and hot bulbs.
- Ghosts. Wrap a foam ball in white tissue paper, cover it with a clear sheet, gather it at the neck, and draw the eyes. Hang a few from the porch ceiling or a branch.
- Wreaths. Tie short strips of orange, black, and purple cellophane around a wire wreath form until it’s full. The crinkle catches the light by the front door.
- Centerpieces. Fill a tray or a glass bowl with small wrapped treats and cover it with a sheet of the Halloween print, gathered with a black ribbon.
- Party backdrops. Cut long strips from a black metallized roll or the black organza roll and hang them behind the dessert table or the photo spot.
Bake sales, craft fairs, and small shops
Wrapped items are easier to price, carry, and grab from a table. Keep one design for the whole season so your photos and your display match. Cardboard reinforced bottom bags hold cookie stacks upright, caramel wrappers cover homemade candy, and if you heat seal, use film made for it, like the clear 1.2 mil heat-sealable sheets. Add a label with your shop name and ingredients. For packaging with your logo, see custom printed cello sheets and custom printed cello bags.
Halloween gift baskets
A Halloween basket for a teacher, a client, or a neighbor needs a clear or printed wrap, filler, and a bow. Use a Halloween roll or a basket bag, add orange or black accents, and finish with ribbon. Our guide on how to wrap a gift basket with cellophane walks through the folds.
Halloween packaging: frequently asked questions
These are the questions that come up most when people plan Halloween packaging and decor with cellophane.
What cellophane colors work best for Halloween?
Orange, black, purple, and green transparent cellophane, plus the Halloween, Orange Dots, and Black Dots prints. Black organza lace and black metallized film add a darker finish.
Can I use colored cellophane for Halloween window decorations?
Yes. Frame the cellophane with black paper cutouts and tape the panel to the inside of the window. Light coming through the glass carries the color into the room.
Can I put a light inside a cellophane lantern?
Use a battery-operated LED tea light or LED string, not a candle. Keep cellophane away from open flames, heaters, and hot bulbs.
Do you sell printed Halloween cello bags?
Our bags are clear, plus black big dots deluxe bags. For a Halloween look, wrap the treat in a Halloween print sheet or line a clear bag with a colored sheet.
Can I order custom printed Halloween packaging?
Custom printing is available on sheets and bags. Send your design, quantities, and date through the contact form so we can confirm what fits your timeline.
How much packaging should I order for Halloween?
Count by type (candy bundles, cookies, favors, baskets), wrap one test of each to settle the size, and add a margin for mistakes and last-minute additions.
